Theatre Director & Creative Facilitator
Simone has worked in the creative and cultural sector for over 20 years as a performer, performing arts practitioner and theatre director.
She trained in Musical Theatre at The Brit School of Performing Arts before obtaining a 1st Class Hons Degree in Contemporary Performance Practice from Winchester University.
Simone then went on to become co-creative director of The Galloping Cuckoos, a site-specific touring theatre company that used song, theatre and clowning to explore authentic human connection in their audiences.
Simone continues to work as a Theatre Director, Creative Facilitator and performing arts practitioner with a specialism in devised theatre. She is currently working as an Associate Director at Stratford East Theatre, in London, UK. Devising a new piece of theatre titled ‘When The Time Comes’ and Directing a Series of Theatrical Thrillers 2025-2026.

Simone works as an Associate Director of the Adult Community Company who will be performing in this production.

When The Time Comes

2 women, each facing the death of a parent, discover a secret that binds them together. This is a story of their journey to find out who their parents really were and the forbidden love they never forgot. How does this change who they are today?
As they search, they see their parent’s pain in their own lives – past & present, how history has repeated without them knowing why. And the hopes their parents had for them and for the grandchildren, are very much alive.
This is a script-in-hand devised performance created and performed by Simone Watson-Brown, Bushra Baig and Helen Stanley
